Beijing Zhongkeziyuan Ltd. Co.(ZKZY) is reformed by the former Scientific Equipment and Material Center of Chinese Academy of Sciences (SEM). The Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and the former office clerks share all the capitals of the company. The registered capital is 51,545,000 RMB ($6,872,667) in 2001, but till the end of 2006, the whole company’s capital grows over 210 million RMB ($27 million). The number of staffs directly belong to the company is 136, and 55% of them are professional persons.    
Beijing Zhongkeziyuan Ltd. Co. (ZKZY) owns 3 operating departments, 3 functional management departments besides 4 shareholding companies outside Beijing. The company’s revenue exceeded  300 million RMB ($40 million) till 2004, and yearly increased more than 10% nawadays. The products line operated by ZKZY covers acting agent of non-ferrous metal, constructing metal, housing electrics, mechanical electrics, IT products, biological products, chemical products and health-care products. We provide the service over storage, logistics and insurance agent, besides real estate serving, technical consulting, technical know-how agents and service.

Our History

• In November 1949, Equipment Department (belonged to the Chairmen Bureau) dated from the foundation of CAS. The Equipment Department was in charge of all the supplementary for technical equipments and materials used by all CAS’ 100 institutes.

• In the middle of 1950s, for insuring the realization of the Nation 12^th Scientific Plane Project, the Equipment Department transform to Equipment Bureau of CAS.

• In the early 1960s, the Equipment Bureau mostly served the national military development, leading by COSTIND.

• From early 1970s to the end of 1980s, the Equipment Bureau returned to CAS, changed its name to Technical Basement Bureau.

• In early 1990s, according to the CAS reformation Plan, the Technical Basement Bureau merged with its Beijing Equipment Supplementary Station, and then changed its name to Scientific Equipment and Material Center of Chinese Academy of Sciences (SEM).

• In December 2001, according to the Reformation Policy of the Nation and CAS, the Scientific Equipment and Material Center of Chinese Academy of Sciences (SEM) reformed to Beijing Zhongkeziyuan Ltd. Co (ZKZY). The CAS owned 92% of the share hold and employees 8%.

• In July 2005, the employee shareholders buy in 10% from the CAS，and now the CAS owned 82% of the share hold and employees 18%.

Trace to the source, Beijing Zhongkeziyuan Ltd. Co.(ZKZY) founded with the beginning of CAS. We devoted to the science and technology developing in Chinese construction. And also we offered sweat and hard work to the basements of CAS sciences investigation, the National Key projects, the Stress Military Programs and 863 Projects. Over 50 years' history, ZKZY has accumulated heavy artificial cultures. Aim higher and stronger, we go with the rapid growth of New China.
